There are so many perfect lines in Daddy Long-Legs. But that one brings me encouragement every time. Sometimes I feel like I’m not that great of a person, have never done any big amazing thing – but that quote always reminds me that just getting through the complications of a normal, frustrating day is worthwhile and heroic!

I’ve never read Daddy Long-Legs but I can see I’ll have to. I was telling somebody else yesterday about this quote, which I think is going to stick in my head.
